NA MALOOM ISHTIHARI _ 2019Statement I graduated in 2009 from the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan in miniature painting. My artwork is craft-based, due to my initial inspiration from my family, skilled in craft work.I weave the interesting compositions which stimulate the viewer's imagination and exploration of one's own memories. It is one of the childhood experience to draw or paint on walls, criss-cross lines on notebooks and colour every corner of the available space, showing freedom of expression as an innate characteristic of childhood. While as an adult the same behavior takes the impression of religio-political backgrounds to express the anger, uncertainty, intolerance and irrationality towards the seductive or bold images pasted on walls in the form of posters. These posters sometimes have stickers, pamphlets, brochures or flyers which would be pasted recently. This is what to enquire the obsession behind it or the rational empiricismin society. CROSSING LINES _ 2019CROSSED WIRE _ 2014Title:Oval Medium opaque water color Size : 22.3 X 38.6 inches
